ดอง blog มาเป็นเวลานานมาก เดี๋ยวขอทดไว้ก่อนว่าช่วงที่ผ่านมาทำไรไว้มั่ง ถ้ามีอารมณ์อยากเขียนก็จะเขียน

เรื่องแรกเกี่ยวกับงานที่ทำที่ Monash เรื่องเกิดจากการที่ต้องไปทำงานเกี่ยวกับ student administration ไม่ได้หรูอะไรมาก จริงๆ คือไปตามเก็บรวบรวมรายงานแล้วก็ส่งให้ผู้สอนเอาไปตรวจให้คะแนนต่อไป แล้วก็รับกลับมาเพื่อส่งคืนให้นักเรียนต่อไป เรื่องคือ ดันไปทำรายงานหายระหว่างการขนส่ง (ไม่รู้ตรงส่วนไหน) เนื่องจากไม่ได้มีขั้นตอนการตรวจสอบที่เป็นขั้นตอน แถมเอกสารกองท่วมโต๊ะอยู่ ดีที่ไม่เกิดเรื่องอะไรขึ้นมามาก (แค่ให้นักเรียนส่งรายงานมาใหม่ และไม่มีการปรับโทษคะแนน) เลยต้องพัฒนะระบบการตรวจสอบไว้ก่อนที่มันจะเกิดเรื่องอีก พูดเหมือนหรู จริงๆ คือสร้าง worksheet ไว้บน Excel แค่นั้นแหละ เพื่อเอาไว้ตรวจว่ารับรายงาน ส่งรายงาน ปรับเรื่องสาย หรือมีรายการยืดการส่งรายงาน

ทีนี้เราเห็นว่ามี barcode scanner อยู่ตัวนึงวางอยู่จนฝุ่นจับ แล้วรายงานนักเรียนที่ส่งก็จะต้องมีใบปะหน้าซึ่งมี barcode แทนหมายเลขประจำตัวของนักศึกษาอยู่ด้วย ก็คิดว่ามันควรจะมีโปรแกรมอะไรซักอย่างเพื่อใช้งานตรงนี้ (ไม่งั้นมันจะมี barcode ทำปร๊ะอะไร) ก็เลยไปถามผู้เกี่ยวข้อง ปรากฏว่า มันไม่ได้มีโปรแกรมอะไรเลย!!! เอาไว้ลง ID ของนักเรียนใน Excel (มันมี barcode ไว้ทำปร๊ะจริงๆ ด้วย - -') เอาหละ ด้วยเหตุนี้ เริ่มเห็นว่ามันเป็นอุปกรณ์ที่ไร้ประโยชน์ เริ่มเห็นว่ามันเป็นโอกาสในการพัฒนาอะไรซักอย่างขึ้นมาเพื่อให้สามารถทำงานได้สะดวกขึ้นกว่าการนั่งกด Find แล้วใส่อะไรลงไปใน cell เพื่อเช็ครายงาน นั่นคือ เอา barcode scanner ตัวนี้มาใช้ให้มีประโยชน์มากขึ้น เพื่อการตรวจสอบรายงาน

โดยหลักๆ แล้ว อุปกรณ์ตัวนี้เมื่ออ่าน barcode มันจะเป็นการส่งสัญญาณแป้นพิมพ์เป็นตัวเลขที่อ่านได้จาก barcode แล้วตามด้วยการกด Enter (หรือ carriage return) ตัวอย่างเช่น ถ้าใช้ scanner อ่าน barcode ในโปรแกรม notepad มันก็จะพิมพ์เลขของบาร์โค้ดออกมาแล้วขึ้นบรรทัดใหม่ เราก็ใช้ตรงจุดนี้มาผนวกกับ Excel ด้วย VBA ซะ (ลงทุนซื้อ Excel VBA programming for Dummies มาอ่านเลยนะ) จากที่ไม่เคยรู้อะไรเกี่ยวกับ vba เลย แต่ก็เขียนได้ด้วยความร่วมมือของหนังสือกับ Google ตอนแรกกะให้มันหาแถวของนักเรียนเพื่อใส่ "tick" เข้าไปเฉยๆ พร้อมตัวเลือกอีกสองสามอย่าง ไปๆ มาๆ feature มันเยอะขึ้นเรื่อยๆ แล้วก็ต้องตามเก็บ error handling มากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ เขียนแล้วเริ่มสับสนด้วยเหตุที่เป็นการเขียนโปรแกรมแบบไม่มีการวางแผนล่วงหน้า (เด็กๆ ไม่ควรเอาอย่างนะ) เลยเอาแค่ feature พื้นๆ พอ แล้วเอาที่ต้องการเพิ่มไปใส่ไว้ในอีกโปรแกรมแทน (simply the best) ไว้ว่างๆ จะเอา source code มาลง


เรื่องต่อมาคือ เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ bid ได้จอ 24" ของ LG (L246WH-BN 1920x1200)จาก ebay มาใช้งานกับ Wii laptop ตัวเดิม บน Windows ไม่มีปัญหา ทำ Extended desktop ได้ สะดวกเวลาทำ spreadsheet ยาวๆ ทีนี้มาบน Debian ... มีปัญหา มันถือสา.. เอ้อ ไม่ใช่ละ มีปัญหาเรื่องทำ extended desktop ไม่ได้ มันแสดงผลออกมาที่ความละเอียด 1920x1200 ทั้งสองจอแบบ clone (คือมันล้นจอ laptop แบบทะลักเลย) ดูท่าทางปัญหาอยู่ที่ไดรเวอร์ของอินเทล i810 ที่ไม่สามารถรับความละเอียดของ virtual space มากๆ ได้ (รู้สึกว่าเต็มที่คือ 2048x2048 เอ๊ะหรือมันเป็นที่ chipset 82852/82855 วะ) ลองตั้งแล้ว startx ก็มืดทุกที ท่าทางจอมันจะใหญ่ไป เอาวะ ถ้างั้นก็ใช้จอ 24" อันเดียวก็ได้แล้วก็ปิดจอ laptop ซะด้วยคำสั่ง

เรื่องถัดมา วันก่อนสั่งซื้อ CycloDS Evolution การ์ดยอดฮิตที่ให้คุณสามารถ run โปรแกรม homebrew และ rom เกม (backup หรือ เถื่อน :P) บน Nintendo DS ได้ จากเว็บเดิมที่เคยสั่ง Wii Freeloader ปรากฏว่า พอสั่งเสร็จ วันรุ่งขึ้นท่านลดราคาลงมา A$5 ซะงั้น ... แสรดดด เจ็บใจ แต่ซื้อมา run homebrew เท่านั้น (ใครจะเชื่อ) จริงๆ ลองโหลดเกมมาเล่นสองเกม คือ FF IV DS (ที่ออสมันยังไม่ออกนี่หว่า) กับ Lifesigns: Surgical Unit

FF นั้นจบไปแค่ title เดี๋ยวรอสอยของแท้ต้นเดือนหน้า แต่ Lifesigns เล่นจบบทแรกไปแล้วไม่สนุกอย่างที่คิด (ถ้ามันเป้น manga คงตามอ่าน) ไม่ซื้อละ เดี๋ยวลบทิ้ง

โปรแกรม Homebrew ที่น่าสนใจสำหรับ DS ก็ได้แก่ DSOrganize (โปรแกรม organiser/file manager), DSPaint (วาดรูปแบบสีน้ำ หรือสีน้ำมัน สามารถ playback สิ่งที่คุณวาดได้ ดูสนุกดี), moonshell media player (มันแถมมากับการ์ดทุกตัวมั้ง คงไม่ต้องบอก), Tuna-ViDS (โปรแกรมเล่นไฟล์ avi ที่ encoded ด้วย Xvid บน DS) คิดว่ามีประโยชน์กว่า moonshell ที่ไม่ต้องทำไฟล์ให้เป็น DPG แต่สุดท้ายต้อง encode ใหม่อยู่ดีเพราะไฟล์ที่มีอยู่ resolution มันเกิน พอเปิดแล้ว IO error, SvSIP (โปรแกรม VoIP บน DS) เจ๋งมาก ถ้ามี Wi-fi กับ VoIP account ของอะไรซักอันอยู่ (ดูหัวข้อถัดไป) แต่แนะนำให้ซื้อ headset เพิ่ม เพราะเสียงจาก mic ที่ตัว DS มันไม่ดีเอามากๆ ส่วนนี้ขอไม่ลงลิงก์เพราะขี้เกียจเกิน ถ้าอยากรู้ว่าหาจากไหนถาม Google เอาละกัน


อีกเรื่องคือตอนนี้ boss ไปพบ VoIP สุดถูกเข้าจาก Voipdiscount โดยช่วงนี้ถ้า register แล้วยอมจ่าย €10 (ประมาณ A$18) จะสามารถโทรฟรีกลับเมืองไทย (และอีกหลายประเทศ เช่น USA, Australia) ได้ 120 วัน หลังจากนั้นคิดอัตรา ~3 cent euro ต่อนาทีสำหรับประเทศไทยรวมทั้งโทรศัพท์บ้านและมือถือ เลยถือโอกาสทดลองใช้บน Debian ด้วย ตอน register กับเจ้านี้ต้องดาวน์โหลดโปรแกรม (Windows เท่านั้น) มาก่อนถึงจะลงทะเบียนได้ แต่หลังจากนั้นก็แค่ใส่ค่า SIP parameters ต่างๆ ที่มีให้บนเว็บลงไปในโปรแกรม client เช่น Ekiga หรือ SvSIP บน NDSL ก็สามารถโทรเข้าโทรศัพท์บ้านได้ทันที เจ๋ง ตอนใช้ SvSIP ก็กดเลขโทรศัพท์ลงไปได้เลย (เป็น international format เช่น โทรเข้าโทรศัพท์บ้านที่กรุงเทพก็ 6621234567) แต่พอใช้ Ekiga นี่งงอยู่พักนึง สุดท้ายก็ถึงได้รู้ว่า ต้องใส่ @sip.voipdiscount.com ลงไปด้วย โทรบน Debian เสียงก็ยังชัดแจ๋ว

Damages after owning a Wii

Well, yeah, it's been 6 months or so since I've owned a Wii. After that, I bought some games as well as accessories such as a stand with wiimote charger, another set of wiimote and nunchuck, etc.

Well, as I've seen this entry from Plynoi, I'd like to show my damages after owning a Wii, albeit this is still not final (my further plan is to own a DS Lite :P).

Right, these are my damages...

• Wii Sports (included with console)


• Surf's Up (came with console as a promotion from Kmart; traded off for A$17 as I bought Dancing Stage :P)


• Wii Play (a Wiimote included)


• Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (a Nunchuck included)


• Mariokart Wii (Wii Wheel included)


• Dancing Stage: Hottest Party (or Dance Dance Revolution in JAP and US; Dance mat included)

A tough week

I'm now working as a prac lab technician in Dept of Physiology, Monash University. In fact, it seems not only a technician job but also an organiser. Because I have to organise and make pracs run smoothly.

Alright, this week is quite tough because we had a Med lung function prac on Tuesday morning, rabbit ileum prac, as well as taste and touch prac in the afternoon. Additionally, Female Reproduction II prac was held on Thursday and today. Problems ran into Med lung function as we didn't have this prac last year and no one knew how to set things up. This prac was dealing with figuring out the total lung capacity (TLC) using He dilution method which involved the use of a spirometer, connected to a MacLab, helium and oxygen. Also, we have TLCO, a test that measures the diffusing capacity of the lung using carbon monoxide, which requires a special mixture of gases (He/CO), and a special analyser (which seems that no one know how to use it :P). To make this prac running, we needed to prepare things before hand by ordering that special gas (express service, ~$200 added) and trying to get somebody who is familiar with the analyser to set it up but we had no any luck. However, everything ran quite smoothly as the instructors (or lecturers) from The Alfred seem to know how to operate those things. Everything was relieved...

Today, when I cleaned things up and brought down the gas cylinder to its storage, guess what! I found the He/CO from the past year... And 17,000 kPa of gas is still left in there!! Alright, just keep this under the carpet :P At least, we already have 2 cylinders of the special gas so we need not to order it for a long time in the future (if this prac still persist).

ชิบโป๋ง ลืมเสียฉิบ โดน tag มาจาก ม่อน เนื่องด้วยช่วงนี้งานรัดตัว (อ้วนๆ) แถมลืมพกกล้องไปที่ทำงานเพราะมันอยู่ในกระเป๋า Boss ก็เลยไม่ได้ post ไอ้ desktop tag มาซักกะที

ดังนั้นขอติดไว้ก่อน แหะๆ เมื่อไหร่ไม่ลืมกล้องไปแล้วจะโพสต์ให้เน้อ~~

ปล. สุขสันต์วันสงกรานต์ครับ อย่าเมาแล้วขับนะ สงสารหมอที่ต้องอยู่เวรช่วงสงกรานต์กันบ้าง :P

Damage 2007-2008

เช่นเคย... แบบปีที่แล้ว ที่กลับบ้านมาทีนึงก็ตระเวนตามหาซื้อ DVD ที่อยากได้ เพราะที่ออสฯ มันแพง แม้ว่าพอผ่านๆ ไปแล้วมันจะ dump ราคากันสะบั้นยังกะ DVD เถื่อน จากตอนออกใหม่ๆ แม่ง AU$30+ เวลาผ่านไปหกเดือนเหลือ 9.99 ซะงั้น แต่เมืองไทยก็ถูกกว่าอยู่ดี เพราะต้องการแผ่นแบบ 2-Disc edition แถมแผ่นที่ออสฯ มันยังเป็น Zone 4 อีกต่างหาก (แต่เครื่องเล่นมันเดี๋ยวนี้มันยังจำกัด zone กันอยู่อีกรึ?)

เค้าบอกกันว่า สงครามยังไม่จบอย่าเพิ่งนับศพทหาร แต่ตอนนี้มารายงานความเสียหายเบื้องต้นกันก่อน

• Ghost Rider 2-Disc Special Edition แถมกระเป๋าตังค์(ถูกๆ) สุดจ๊าบ ฿649
• Transformers 2-Disc Special Edition เช่นกัน ฿769 (รู้สึกมันจะแพงขึ้นเรื่อยๆ)
• Kamen Rider Faiz Boxset รวม 13 แผ่น ตัดใจซื้อทั้งที่มีแผ่น 1 กับ 2 อยู่แล้วเพราะมันแถมเครื่องเล่น DVD Aconetic ด้วย Woo Hoo ฿2,799 (ค่าเครื่องก็ 1,700 แล้ว ดังนั้นคิดได้ว่า Boxset นี้ถูกสุดๆ)

นอกจากนี้ก็ยังสั่ง Boxset Kamen Rider Blade มาอีกด้วย เพราะไปตามที่ไหนๆ ก็หมดทุกที ยังไม่ทราบราคา อันนี้เป็น series เดียวใน Rider ยุคหลังที่ผมไม่เคยดูจริงๆ เพราะมันฉาย (แปลว่ามีแผ่นเถื่อนขายตอนชนตอนกับญี่ปุ่น) ตอนผมไปออสเตรเลียปีแรก ต่อมาถึงจะโหลดบิตได้ก็ขึ้เกียจ มาตามเก็บ Boxset นี่ดีกว่า

ปีนี้ตัด Harry ปั้นหม้อทิ้ง เพราะไปดูตอนฉายในโรงมาแล้วรู้สึกว่า... มันไม่สนุกว่ะ (เนื่องจากไม่เคยอ่าน มันก็เลยรู้สึกน่าเบื่อ)

Strawberry Picking

เมื่อวานมีโอกาสได้ขับรถไป Mornington Peninsula มา มีแผนจะไปเก็บ Strawberry (raspberry, cherry, etc...) โดยตรงกันไปที่ Sunny Ridge ใช้เวลาขับรถจากบ้านที่อยู่ไปประมาณชั่วโมงเศษๆ


ไปถึง จ่ายค่าเข้าคนละ AU$8 ซึ่งรวมค่าเข้า (ไปเก็บกิน) และเก็บ strawberry ออกมาได้อีกคนละครึ่งโล ก่อนหน้านี้ไม่ค่อยชอบสตรอฯ เท่าไหร่นักเพราะว่าส่วนใหญ่ที่กินมันจะเปรี้ยวมากกว่าหวาน แต่มาที่นี่ เก็บจากต้นสดๆ ส่งเข้าปาก มันหวานเอามากๆ จนไม่อยากเชื่อ (ไม่รู้กินยาฆ่าแมลงกับปุ๋ยเคมีเข้าไปเท่าไหร่ :P) นอกจากนี้ก็ยังไปเก็บเชอร์รี่ กับ ราสเบอร์รี่ กินอีกนิดหน่อยด้วย...

ก่อนกลับ ก็แวะซื้อเชอร์รี่มาครึ่งโล พร้อมกับสั่ง Chocolate Fondue มาลองกินกันในสนนราคา AU$15 ซึ่งคิดว่าคุ้มสุดๆ กับ Strawberry ลูก(โคตร)โต ฉ่ำ แล้วค่อยๆ จุ่มลงไปใน Belgian Chocolate ที่ละลายแล้ว รสชาติหวานมันของ chocolate รวมกับรสเปรี้ยวนิดๆ ของ strawberry ละลายเข้ากันในปาก มันยากที่จะบรรยายได้ สรุป "อร่อย" เอาละ ดูรูปๆ

Life out of the fast lane

Friday, last week, my Netcomm ADSL2+ modem died on duty. After an investigation, the cause of death was the adapter which had been grilled during the hot day (around 32 degree Celsius, I think). There also were some traces of melting on the adapter. Anyway, the modem is still working. I knew because I tried plugging in another adapter from another modem and the green LED light on it appeared but couldn't connect because of its under voltage and current.

This problem should be easily solved by just finding a replacement adapter. However, the one that was used was 15V, 1.33A which is not a very standard output. I tried to find it in almost electronic stores that I recognised but had no luck. Most of them are 12V or 15V, 1.5A and $40+ in price. After consulting my friend, his friend who is an engineer said that the one that should be used must have an exact voltage with equal or greater current. That means you can use an adapter that has 15V and 1.33+A (1.5 or 1.6A is OK). Alright, that makes things much easier and we decided to buy a new adapter, even though it will cost us $40+.

Why do we have to find a replacement quickly? Because we couldn't connect to the internet and that we couldn't find out many many things, for examples, couldn't find how can we get the replacement or couldn't find where to buy or where is the shop and couldn't access to emails. OMG, our everyday lives depend on the internet. So we decided to use the internet from our friend's house :P in Baybrook, when we went to have BBQ pork (Mongolian style) at her house on Sunday. After some researches (by Boss), she found that somebody in Whirlpool.net.au webboard could get a replacement from Netcomm for free. So we decided to call Netcomm to get a replacement (working hours are 9-5).

Monday, I called Netcomm Tech Support in the morning. It took me around 20 minutes waiting time to get to the Tech guy. Although it seemed quite a long time, Netcomm call centre made me feel better than other support lines that I've ever contacted. It informed me which queue I got now and moved up. This made me feel waiting was ending soon and I'd like all call centres or tech support lines to be like this. Okay, after speaking to a Tech guy, he gathered some of my information, modem's model and S/N and my name and address, for instances, and tell me that the adapter will be sent to me within 2 days (free of charge, of course). Wow, the adapter had been sent and I received it yesterday. Back online again!

I was very impressed with Netcomm service. Its tech support line has got customers in mind. They know that customers don't want to wait long and that they need to know when they will be served. Queuing system is a clever move and it relieves customers' frustration. Additionally, I can get a replacement adapter for free from Netcomm even though it is stated in the warranty terms and conditions that power supply is not included in the warranty. This saved us $40 for the adapter.

I would recommend anyone I know who want to buy network stuffs (in Australia) to buy Netcomm as its quality and service are very impressive. Thank you ... Netcomm.

จาก entry ที่แล้ว ที่ได้คะแนน IELTS แบบคาดไม่ถึง ซึ่งได้ทำการตกลงกับบอสเอาไว้ก่อนแล้วว่า ถ้าคะแนนดี ไม่ต้องสอบอีกรอบภายในปีนี้ ก็จะมีรางวัลให้กันหน่อย :) ทีแรกคุยกันว่าจะซื้อ Nintendo DS Lite เพราะซักสองเดือนก่อนมีเพื่อนมาพักที่บ้านจากซิดนี่ย์ มันเอา DS ติดมาเล่นด้วยพร้อม FF III (ทำให้ตูสอบ Clinical ไม่ผ่านเลย -- ล้อเล่น) เลยอยากเล่นมั่ง

ทีนี้พอไปถึงร้านเกมจริงๆ ปรากฏว่า ไม่มีโปรโมชั่นดีๆ ซักกะที คือซื้อ DS มันก็ได้แต่เครื่องเปล่า หรือไม่ก็แถมเกมที่ไม่อยากได้ ลังเลอยู่นานสองนาน ทีนี้บอสซึ่งชอบดูโฆษณาตามห้างต่างๆ เหลือบไปโฆษณาของ Kmart ว่าช่วงนี้มีโปรโมชั่นสำหรับ Wii ซึ่งซื้อเครื่องแถมอีก 1 เกม (นอกจาก Wii Sports) ในราคาแค่ AU$388 เท่านั้น แต่ในโฆษณาเขียนให้เข้าใจผิดว่าเครื่องเกมราคาแค่ AU$299 (เมื่อลบค่าเกมที่แถมออก) เลยชวนไปดูกัน...

สำหรับ Wii นั้น ข้าพเจ้าเองอยากได้ตั้งแต่ที่มันออกใหม่ๆ ในออสเตรเลียตั้งแต่ปลายปีที่แล้วแล้ว แต่ติดที่ว่า "จน" ต้องเก็บเงินไว้สอบ T_T จนโดนจ่าบอกจะขายต่อให้อยู่รอมร่อ แต่ไม่เอาดีกว่า ก็อยากได้เครื่องใหม่นี่ :P แถมเพื่อนอีกคน ซึ่งติดใจ Wii จากการไปเล่นที่บ้านเพื่อนของเธอ ก็ตัดสินใจซื้อเป็นของตัวเอง (จาก ebay) ทำให้อยากได้ขึ้นไปอีก (ทีแรกกะว่าจะชวนบอสไปเล่นบ้านเพื่อนก่อน แล้วค่อยตะล่อมขอทีหลัง)

ไปถึงที่ก็เข้าไปถาม... ได้ความว่า ถ้าเอาแต่เครื่อง + Wii Sports (ซึ่งมันมีอยู่ในกล่องนั่นแหละ ไม่รู้จะเอามาโปรโมททำไม) เนี่ย ต้องจ่าย AU$399!!! เฮ้ย!! ไรวะ!? แต่ถ้าเอาตาม Deal (คือแถม Ice Age 2 ด้วย) ก็จ่าย AU$388 ได้มาอีก 1 เกม อืม... ทีนี้คิดหนัก เพราะไม่ใช่คนชอบเล่นเกมแอ็คชั่นแบบนั้น รู้สึกว่าอยากได้เกมอื่นมากกว่า (เช่น Zelda หรือ Cooking Mama สำหรับ Wii) แต่สุดท้ายก็ตกลงใจ "เอา" ดีกว่า เผื่อเอาเกมที่แถมมาไปปล่อยบน ebay :P แล้วไปซื้อเกมที่อยากได้ ก็ตกลงบอกคนขายว่า เอาชุดนี้แหละ (ทำไมต้องจ่ายแพงกว่าด้วยล่ะ? ก็ไม่เอาเกมมันตั้ง 399 นี่หว่า) ว่าแล้วคนขายก็เข้าไปหาของใน stock เสร็จออกมาบอกว่า Ice Age 2 หมด เปลี่ยนเป็น Surf's Up แทนได้มั้ย เหอ!? ก็โอเค มันก็ไม่ได้ต่างอะไรมาก แต่บอสคิดว่านี่เป็นโอกาส เลยถามไปว่า ถ้าของหมดล่ะก็ ขอเลือกเกมเองได้มั้ย ถ้าราคาเกินจะจ่ายส่วนต่างเพิ่มให้ ตอนแรก คนขายเธอตอบตกลง เราก็ไปเลือกเกมกัน ได้ Legend of Zelda มานี่แหละ พอกลับมาที่เคาน์เตอร์ เธอบอกไม่ได้ซะงั้น (จริงๆ คือ ดูเหมือนเธอไม่มีสิทธิ์ตัดสินใจหรอก ตอนแรกเลยนึกว่าได้ื สงสัยถาม supervisor แล้วโดนด่ากลับมา) ก็ได้วะ เอา Surf's Up ก็ได้ กลับมาถึงบ้าน นอนพักซักครู่ แล้วก็เปิดกล่อง... ตอนแรกที่เห็นเครื่อง มันเล็กจังวุ้ย มี port ภายในเครื่องคือ พอร์ต AV, ช่องเสียบ Sensor, ช่อง Power, มี USB x2, ข้างหน้า นอกจากช่องใส่แผ่นแล้วก็ยังมีช่องเสียบ SD card ด้วย, ข้างบนมีช่องเอาไว้เสียบจอยของ GameCube แล้วก็มี Wii Remote ซึ่งเครื่องรุ่นหลังๆ จะแถม สายรัดข้อมือแบบหนาและแข็งแรงขึ้น พร้อมกับ Wii Remote Jacket เป็น silicone สีขาวไว้ใส่ Wii Remote มีหัวบวมๆ เป็น cushion เผื่อเวลาหลุดมือไปโดน TV จะได้ไม่แตกมั้ง ต่อเครื่องกับทีวี (21" เล็กเป็นบ้า T_T) เปิดมา Set up อะไรบางอย่างเช่น Region, Time, Timezone, สร้าง Mii แล้วก็เปิด Wii Sports เล่น

เริ่มจาก Tennis, Baseball, Bowling, Golf ปิดด้วย Boxing โอ้ว สุดยอด สนุกเป็นบ้า (แต่ทำไม Tennis เราห่วยงี้วะ, Baseball ก็ตีไม่ค่อยโดน) เล่นจนปวดไปหมดทั้งตัว ไม่ได้ออกกำลังกายมานาน นอกจากนี้บอสก็ยังสนุกด้วยแล้วก็บอกว่าซื้อ Wii น่าจะคุ้มกว่า DS เยอะ พี่อีกคนที่อยู่ร่วมบ้านเดียวกัน ก็เล่น Tennis เป็นชั่วโมงๆ กะ Turn Pro ภายใน 3 วัน เหอๆ

วันศุกร์ ลุกขึ้นมา setup Wi-Fi เครื่อง Wii ให้ต่อกับ router ภายในบ้าน (ยังใช้ WEP อยู่ :P) ซึ่งจะ้ enable features อื่นๆ ที่ต้องต่อกับอินเทอร์เน็ตด้วย เช่น Weather forecast, News, Shopping Channel เป็นต้น หลังจากนั้นเครื่องก็เตือนให้ Update firmware ก็ update ไป กลายเป็นรุ่น 3.1E ซึ่งปรับปรุงหน้าตาเล็กน้อย เช่นมีการแสดงเวลาที่ Wii Menu และทำให้เราสามารถควบคุม Wii Menu ได้ด้วย USB keyboard (แต่มีเตือนไว้ด้วยว่าถ้าลงในเครื่องที่ทำการดัดแปลง อาจทำให้ Wii กลายเป็นที่ทับกระดาษได้) เสร็จแล้วก็เล่น Wii Sports ต่ออีกหน่อย มีผลทำให้ถ้วยน้ำจิ้ม กับ mug แตกไปรวม 2 items (- -')

เมื่อวาน นัดกันออกไปกินข้าวกับเพื่อน เสร็จแล้วกลับมาที่บ้านพร้อมกับเพื่อน คุณเธอเอา ปลอก Wii Sports มาให้ลอง พร้อมกับเอาเกมอื่นๆ คือ Wii Play กับ Super Paper Mario มาให้ลอง ว่าแล้วก็ยึดไว้เล่นเองซะเลย (เดี๋ยวค่อยคืนนะจ๊ะ)

แผนต่อไปคือหาซื้อ Wii Remote อีกซักอัน (ต้องหาที่ที่ลดราคาซักหน่อยก่อน) เหอๆ

IELTS

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) เป็นระบบการทดสอบทักษะภาษาอังกฤษที่ประกอบไปด้วย การฟัง, พูด, อ่านและเขียน ได้รับการคิดค้นขึ้นจากมหาวิทยาลัย Cambridge และปัจจุบันก็ได้รับความนิยมในการใช้วัดผลทักษะการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ ทั้งในเรื่องการเรียนต่อ และการทำงานในประเทศที่ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นหลัก (หลักๆ คืออังกฤษกับออสเตรเลีย แต่ตอนนี้รู้สึกว่าที่อเมริกาก็ยอมรับระบบ IELTS นอกจาก TOEFL แล้วด้วย)

ระบบการให้คะแนนของ IELTS นั้นแบ่งเป็น 10 ระดับคือ 0 - 9 โดย 0 คือไม่มาสอบ (ซะงั้น ... อย่าหัวเราะ เพราะเท่าที่เคยสอบมา ก็มีคนไม่มาสอบเยอะนะ :P) และ 9 คือ expert user หมายความว่าใช้ได้ดีเทียบเท่าเจ้าของภาษา และคะแนนที่ประกาศก็จะเป็นคะแนนเฉลี่ยซึ่งเป็นการเฉลี่ยคะแนนแต่ละโมดูลทั้ง 4 โมดูล แถมตอนนี้ยังยากขึ้นไปอีก เพราะ Writing กับ Speaking นั้นเมื่อก่อนมันไม่มี .5 แต่ตอนนี้มันมี .5 แล้ว

เกริ่นมานานนั้นไม่ใช่อะไร เพราะเพิ่งไปสอบมาอีกครั้ง (กี่ครั้งแล้วก็ไม่รู้... เปลืองฉิบ ค่าสอบตอนนี้ขึ้นไปเป็น $280 แหล่ว) ที่ต้องไปสอบเพราะต้องเตรียมไว้สำหรับ register ถ้าหากว่าสอบ Clinical Assessment ผ่าน (ซึ่งก็ยังไม่ผ่านซักที T3T) อีกอย่างคือเผื่อฟลุคมีคนรับทำงานก็ต้องได้ IELTS อย่างน้อย 7 ทุกโมดูล (ยากมั้ยล่ะ)

วันสอบก็ เสาร์ 13 ตุลา ตื่นแต่เช้า ขึ้นรถไฟเข้าเมือง ไปถึงรีบเข้าห้องน้ำ (เดี๋ยวมีเรื่องตอนสอบ :P) แล้วก็อัดยาโด๊ปเข้าไปสองเม็ด (beta blocker ทำให้หัวใจเต้นช้าลง มือไม่สั่น มีสมาธิมากขึ้น) ก่อนสอบ เสร็จแล้วก็เข้าห้องสอบ เริ่มจาก listening, reading ปิดด้วย writing สำหรับช่วงเช้าซึ่งผ่านไปอย่างราบรื่น แล้วก็รอสอบ speaking ตอนบ่าย (นานมาก สอบตั้งบ่ายสามแน่ะ คนสุดท้าย) ตอนนั่งรอก็บังเอิญมีคนมาชวนคุย เป็นคนศรีลังกาเรียน PhD อยู่ภาควิชา Econometrics ซึ่งเป็นอะไรที่ผมไม่เคยได้ยินมาก่อนเลย สรุปเป็นคนน่าสนใจละกัน คุยกันไปเรื่อย แล้วถึงเวลาสอบก็เข้าไปสอบ ว่าแล้ว examiner ก็ถามว่าเจอคนน่าสนใจเร็วๆ นี้บ้่างหรือเปล่า ทำท่าคิดนิดนึง แล้วก็เลยเอาหมอนี่เป็น subject ซะเลยดีกว่า เหอๆ (โชคดีที่หัวไว) จากนั้นมาถึง part 2 ถามถึงจุดเปลี่ยนของชีวิต เลย "ตอแหล" เรื่องที่ตัดสินใจมาอยู่ออสเตรเลียซะงั้น (รวมเรื่องบอสด้วย เหอๆ)

สอบเสร็จออกมาก็ค่อนข้างพอใจกับผลงานที่ทำนะ แต่ตอนที่รอผลสอบก็ร้อนๆ หนาวๆ เบื่อๆ ว่าจะต้องสอบใหม่อีกรึเปล่าเนี่ย เฮ้อ... (- -')

2 อาทิตย์ต่อมา... ที่ศูนย์สอบนี้เค้าจะแปะคะแนนไว้ที่บอร์ดให้ดูด้วยในวันศุกร์ ก่อนที่จะส่งผลจริงๆ ไปที่บ้าน ที่บอร์ดก็จะแปะ หมายเลขสอบ, เลขพาสปอร์ต แล้วก็แสดงคะแนนแยกตามโมดูล มาถึงก็เดินขึ้นไปดูกับบอส... เงยหน้าขึ้นดูบอร์ดใจตุ๊มๆ ต่อมๆ ไล่ตามหมายเลขที่นั่งสอบ...

แต่ยังไงก็ไม่ต้องสอบใหม่ไปอีก 2 ปีละเว้ย ได้คะแนนดีเกินคาดแบบสุดๆ เหอๆ ว่าแล้วก็รอผลสอบตัวจริงอย่างมีความสุข (มาวันจันทร์บ่าย) หน้าบาน อวดชาวบ้านไปเรื่อย

นานๆ มีเรื่องดีๆ ซะที เฮ้อ... จบแบบดื้อๆ ดีกว่า เหอๆ

Unsuccessful candidate (again...)

This is my second attempt on AMC Clinical Assessment and I still am an unsuccessful candidate. Oh! man, life is not worth living (just kidding :P). Okay, let's prepare harder for the next time. I'll be depressed for a week and then I'll start over again.

Upgrade...

When I went back to Thailand last year, I had a chance to go shopping at Pantip Plaza. The first reason is that I had to find additional memory for Boss' Fujitsu laptop. It first came with only 512MB DDR2 533 and was not enough for her to manage things. To upgrade, we decided to buy 2 of 1GB DDR2 533 SO-DIMMs and everything works just fine.

The second reason is that my NEC laptop (almost 3 yo) component was broken, the Toshiba's DVD-RW drive. It began to get sick 3-4 months ago. First, it couldn't read and burn DVD-R, followed by DVD and CD-R. Of course, I needed a replacement and decided to replace it with DVD+/-RW (DL) drive. It's very hard to find such component (an internal laptop optical drive) in Australia. Fortunately, it's not that hard to find this in Thailand (and cheaper).

After cruised in Pantip for sometimes, I found one shop (on 3rd floor) that sold the drive I wanted in a very reasonable price :). I got a Lite-on Slimtype SOSW-833S DVD+/-RW (the barcode on it says it is a Teac drive, though) at 2,680 THB. Also, I got a 100GB WD 2.5" Harddisk to replace my old harddisk (it's still healthy but too small) at 3,200 THB (around AU$114). WOW, how cheap the hardwares in Thailand, I love it!

After came back, I replaced the old DVD drive with the new one. At first boot, BIOS did not recognise it!!! but it worked properly in Windows XP. It could read and burn all medias I gave to it (except DVD-RAM, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, of course). Besides, Windows recognised it as a secondary IDE slave!!!. I didn't realise the problem until I decided to replace the harddisk. After finishing harddisk installation, I had to reinstall OSes and my box couldn't boot from CD.... ??? What the heck!!?? BIOS did not know the existing of the DVD drive. I rectified the problem by reinstalled the old DVD drive (lucky enough, it still can read CD) and install Windows XP.

After googling around, I found that the drive came with slave location as default and that prevented auto detection from BIOS, meaning that this drive, as slave, can't be used to boot my laptop. The problem is the drive is jumper free so I couldn't set it to be master to use it to boot the box. Luckily, after some more google, I found that Lite-on corp. released a software that can alter the status of the slimtype jumper-free drive and downloaded it from here. I used it to change the location from slave to master and rebooted. Voila! the drive turned to master and BIOS has recognised it. Finally, I could boot with CD and installed Kubuntu Edgy Eft to the new hard drive.


Phew~~ that was close... -"-


For now, all components and everything run just fine... ^_^

One month is very fast. I will go back to Melbourne tomorrow... Ahh... Goodbye Bangkok. See ya next year ;)

Okay, let's rock!

1. I'm a doctor, a real medical doctor (not a person with a Ph.D. degree). However, I'm interested in computer and IT and become a geek (or not?).


2. First computing experience occurred when I was in the first year of secondary school. The first computer I played with was an 8-bit Apple ][, coming with a phosphor display, 2 floppy disk drives, Apple DOS and BASIC programming language, in school's computer lab. With this box, I did nothing but played 'Hang man' and wrote BASIC programs to display ASCII art.


3. I use 'DrRider' as an alias because I'm a doctor (Dr.) and I love Kamen Rider.


4. I've written many blog entries in English because I'm practising to write English articles as I had to take English tests (IELTS, OET, etc...). However, I can't do it very well. T_T Moreover, this may reduce readers of my blog because they may not want to read it in English.


5. Do you know that I try to use British (Australian) English rather than American English? Sometimes you may find that my spelling is weird, but that is British one.

ไม่ได้ออนไลน์มา 2-3 วัน เปิดไปดูจ่าเก่งปรากฎว่าส่ง blog tag ลูกโซ่มาให้ซะแล้ว

Blog tag คือวิธีการบล็อกอย่างนึงที่ใช้เล่าเรื่องตัวเอง (คงซัก 5 หัวข้อน่ะ) แล้วก็ tag ชื่อเพื่อนต่อไปอีก 5 คน (ดีที่ไม่มีแ่ช่งด้วยนะ) เขียนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษข้างบนละ เล่าตรงนี้สั้นๆ ละกัน

1. ผมเป็น doctor ที่แปลว่าหมอจริงๆ นะ ไม่ใช่คนที่จบปริญญาเอก แต่ดันสนใจคอมพิวเตอร์กับ IT จนกลายเป็น geek (หรือเปล่า?)


2. จับคอมฯ ครั้งแรกตอนอยู่ ม.1 เล่นเครื่อง Apple ][ ที่มากับจอเขียว, ฟลอปปี้ไดรฟ 2 อัน, Apple DOS และภาษาเบสิคที่ติดมากะเครื่อง ที่ห้องคอมของโรงเรียน ตอนนั้นก็ทำอะไรไม่ได้มาก นอกจากเล่นเกม Hang man แล้วก็เขียนภาษาเบสิคเพื่อให้มันแสดง ASCII art


3. ใช้ชื่อ DrRider เพราะเป็นหมอ แล้วก็ชอบคาเมนไรเดอร์ แค่นั้นแหละ


4. หลังๆ มาเขียน blog entries เป็นภาษาอังกฤษเพราะว่าอยากหัดเขียนบทความภาษาอังกฤษ ส่วนนึงเพราะจะไปสอบภาษา (IELTS, OET, etc...) แต่ไปๆ มาๆ ก็เขียนไม่ดีซักที เพราะรูปแบบการเขียนมันไม่เหมือนกัน แถมดีไม่ดีคนอ่านบล็อกจะลดลงด้วย เพราะขี้เกียจอ่านภาษาอังกฤษ - -'


5. รู้หรือไม่ว่า ผมพยายามใช้ภาษาอังกฤษแบบ British English มากกว่าที่จะใช้ American English บางทีเห็นผมสะกดแปลๆ (เช่นใช้ s แทน z หรือเพิ่มตัว u เข้าไปมั่งอะไรแบบนี้) เพราะว่ามันเป็น British English ไง

สุดท้ายนี้ขอส่งต่อไปให้...

ช่วงนี้ไม่ค่อยได้เล่น Linux เท่าไหร่ เลยไม่ค่อยมีอะไรเขียน (ทิ้งเครื่องที่ลงลินุกซ์ไว้ที่ออสเตรเลีย) เลยขอเขียนบันทึกไว้อ่านเล่นๆ ละกัน

ตั้งแต่กลับมาก็ตามหาตามซื้อ DVD เป็นบ้าเป็นหลัง เพราะตอนที่อยู่ออสเตรเลีย หนังอะไรก็ไม่ค่อยได้ดู ถึงโหลดบิตมาดูบ้างก็แค่นั้น ยังไงๆ ก็จะซื้อ DVD อยู่ดี ฮ่า! อีกอย่างคือ DVD ที่นู่นก็ค่อนข้างแพง เรื่องออกใหม่ๆ ปาเข้าไปเป็นพัน (ส่วนเรื่องเก่าๆ เอามาขายลดราคาแบบ 2 เรื่องควบ 500) แถมยังเป็น Zone 4 อีก (เครื่องเล่น DVD ที่เอาไปด้วยอ่านได้แต่ Zone 3 กะ free zone T_T) ไดรฟก็เจ๊ง เฮ่อ... พอกลับมาก็ได้ฤกษ์ตามเก็บหนังที่ติดตามอยู่ รวมกับ CD อีกนิดหน่อยดังนี้

นอกจากนี้ยังกะว่าจะตาม T-Square กับเก็บ Kamen Rider Faiz ที่เหลืออีก 12 แผ่น (เนื่องจากปีที่แล้วซื้อไว้ 2 แผ่น แต่แผ่นที่ 2 หายไปไหนไม่รู้หาไม่เจอ แผ่นละ 230 T_T) แต่ต้องพักๆ ไว้ก่อน เผื่อปีหน้าจะลดราคา (หรือจะหมดหว่า ไว้คิดดูอีกทีว่าจะซื้อหรือเปล่า :P) อีกอันคือ Garo ก็น่าสนใจแฮะ

สิริรวมเสียหายไปหลายพันเหมือนกันนะเนี่ย T_T (มีแต่ Kamen Rider ทั้งนั้นเลย)

First blogging in Thailand (season 2)

Alright, this is the first blog entry after coming back home. This year, I came back to Thailand by Thai International from Melbourne to Suvannabhumi Airport. The airport looks great! But, at the same time, it seems that the construction has not been completed yet. The poles, walls and many things have not been painted (maybe, this is an intention of the architect who designed this place). Furthermore, I heard some bad things regarding luggage transport system that some passengers had to wait for their luggages for more than 16 hours. That scared me! Everything seemed OK, though. I could retrieve my luggages with no hassles, in fact, it's even faster than in Don Mueng :).

Except goods and petrol prices (which something have the same price as in Australia :P) and the government, nothing has been changed.

บล็อกแรกในประเทศไทย (ปี 2) กลับมาได้สักพักแล้ว ประเทศไทยไม่ค่อยมีอะไรเปลี่ยน นอกจาก ราคาข้าวของ, น้ำมัน แล้วก็รัฐบาล กลับมาคราวนี้เปลี่ยนไปหน่อยตรงต้องไปลงเครื่องที่สนามบินสุวรรณภูมิ ซึ่งก็ดูดีนะ สวย แต่ดูไปดูมาเหมือนกับยังทำไม่เสร็จ เสาและกำแพงกับอีกหลายๆ อย่างยังไม่ได้ทาสี (หรือว่าเป็นความตั้งใจของสถาปนิกหว่า?) นอกจากนี้ยังได้ยินเสียงร่ำลือเกี่ยวกับการขนส่งกระเป๋าอีก ว่าตอนเปิดใหม่ๆ บางคนต้องรอกระเป๋า 16 ชั่วโมง แต่มาคราวนี้ก็ดี เอากระเป๋าได้โดยไม่มีปัญหาใดๆ รู้สึกเร็วกว่าที่ดอนเมืองอีกมั้ง บล็อกนี้เอาสั้นๆ ก่อน เดี๋ยวนึกอะไรได้มาเขียนต่อ

I know it's quite old for this song and music video from Final Fantasy X-2 (I've never played this game.) But I've just discovered that it's melting my heart. I think it's far better than 'Eyes on me' of Final Fantasy VIII. :) The good thing is that it's available on iTS Japan; the bad thing is that it's not available on iTS Australia :( ... เปาบุ้นจิ้น - เดกะเรนเจอร์: ปลูกฝังความรุนแรง (Are you an idiot!?)

ไม่ได้เขียนบล็อกภาษาไทยนานแล้ว วันนี้ขอหน่อย เพราะนึกภาษาอังกฤษไม่ออก (ถ้าฟิตมากพอจะเขียนเป็น bilingual ให้)

เมื่อวานเล่นเว็บบอร์ดประจำที่นึง พลันไปเห็นกระทู้เกี่ยวกับซีรีส์ทีวี 2 เรื่องที่กำลังฉายอยู่ คือเปาบุ้นจิ้นและเดกะเรนเจอร์ ถูกวิจารณ์จากคนผู้หนึ่ง ซึ่งเป็นถึงผู้อำนวยการศูนย์ประสานงานเด็กและเยาวชนสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อชีวิตและสิ่งแวดล้อม กระทรวงอะไรไม่ทราบ หรือว่าเป็น NGO ก็ไม่รู้ เนื้อหาประมาณว่า

หวั่น "เปาบุ้นจิ้น"-"เดกะเรนเจอร์"ชอบประหารชีวิต เกรงส่งผลสะสมความรุนแรงให้เด็ก บ่มนิสัยต่อไปคนเลวต้องตายสถานเดียว

ไม่อยากเอามาลงทั้งหมด เพราะมันยาว ขอเชิญติดตามอ่านข้อความทั้งหมด ที่นี่ ก็แล้วกัน หรือไม่งั้นยังมีคน quote ข้อความเหล่านี้ลงไปในกระทู้พันทิพ ห้องเฉลิมไทย ขึ้นเป็นกระทู้แนะนำอีกด้วย

หลังจากอ่านดูแล้วความรู้สึกแรกก็คือ "ท่านเอาอะไรคิดครับเนี่ย อยากให้ผมช่วยเจาะเอาน้ำที่ขังอยู่ในอวัยวะที่ท่านใช้คิดออกมาให้หน่อยมั้ย เผื่อว่าอาจจะมีความคิดมากกว่านี้อีกหน่อย" ไม่รู้ว่าเคยได้ติดตามซีรีส์เหล่านี้จนจบหรือเปล่า เปาบุ้นจิ้นเนี่ยเอามาฉายเมืองไทยซ้ำแล้วซ้ำอีกเป็นรอบที่สี่แล้ว (อย่างน้อยผมก็ดูมาแล้ว 2 รอบล่ะ)

ถ้าว่ากันแล้ว ทั้งสองเรื่องเน้นกันที่ ความยุติธรรม ผิดว่ากันตามผิด ถูกว่ากันตามถูก ไม่มีแพะ แต่ละคน (ตัว, ตน) ที่โดนคำสั่งประหารในเรื่องล้วนแล้วแต่ทำความผิดขั้นอุกฉกรรจ์ทั้งสิ้น

เปาบุ้นจิ้นเองตัดสินความตามกฎหมาย และพยานหลักฐาน ผู้กระทำความผิดล้วนดิ้นไม่หลุดทั้งสิ้น ขนาดเป็นแพะมา ท่านยังสังเกตได้แล้วก็ไปลากเอาตัวคนทำความผิดจริงๆ มาเข้าเครื่องประหารได้เลย แถมยังมีการแจ้งข้อหา และให้คติสอนใจอีกมากมาย นอกจากนี้ยังไม่ไว้หน้าใครทั้งสิ้น ยิ่งใหญ่มาจากไหนถ้าทำความผิดจริงๆ ก็ตัดสินไปตามนั้น ไม่เหมือนบางประเทศ ทำความผิดมากมายก็เอาเงิน+อิทธิพลยัด หลุดมาได้

ส่วนเดกะเรนเจอร์นั้นเป็นตำรวจอวกาศ และไม่ได้มีหน้าที่ในการตัดสิน "ประหาร" หากแต่ว่าเป็น "ศาลสูงสุดแห่งจักรวาล" ต่างหากที่เป็นผู้ตัดสิน ตามพยานหลักฐานและกฎหมายเช่นกัน หากศาลไม่ให้ประหาร ก็ทำได้แค่จับกุมตามบทกำหนดโทษ แถมตัวร้ายแต่ละตัว มีความผิดขนาด ทำลายดาวเคราะห์ ยึดดาวเคราะห์ ฆ่าพลเมือง จะยึดครองโลก ฯลฯ สมควร Delete หรือไม่ให้คิดเอาเอง

เรื่องเหล่านี้น่าจะเป็นการปลูกฝังให้เด็ก "ไม่กล้ากระทำความผิด" ไม่ใช่หรือ หรืออาจจะทำให้โตขึ้นมาอยากเป็นนักกฎหมายเพื่อรับใช้บ้านเมืองและปลูกฝังความรักในความยุติธรรมเข้าไปไม่ใช่เหรอ

เมื่อเทียบกับละครหลังข่าวหลายๆ เรื่องที่ พระเอกข่มขืนนางเอก นางร้ายกรี๊ด จ้างด่า จ้างตบ จ้างวานฆ่า แล้วก็ลอยนวล เหมือนกับบ้านเมืองไม่มีขื่อมีแป ปลูกฝังให้เยาวชนรู้ว่า ถ้าตูมีอิทธิพลเมื่อไหร่ ใครก็ทำอะไรตูไม่ได้ บิดาใหญ่ซะอย่าง...

หรือจะว่ากันถึงวรรณคดีไทยเลยก็ได้ แต่ละเรื่องสอนดีๆ กันทั้งนั้น (มองในแง่ร้ายไว้ก่อน แบบคุณ ผอ. น่ะเป็นไงล่ะ เจอมาจากพันทิพ) แบนเลยดีมั้ย

• ส่งเสริมการทำสงคราม และการฆ่าล้างเผ่าพันธุ์ มีปัญหากับทศกัณฑ์ตนเดียว สุดท้ายฆ่ายักษ์หมดลงกาเลย ทำไมไม่เอาทศกัณฑ์มาขึ้นศาลล่ะ ซัดดัมยังได้ขึ้นศาลเลย (แต่ดูเหมือนโดนประหารเหมือนกัน)
  
• ทศกัณฑ์ - กะเอาลูกตัวเอง (เพราะไม่รู้ แต่ก็ฉุดก่อนละวะ)
  
• พระลักษณ์ - ใช้ศาลเตี้ยตัดสินนางยักษ์ที่เข้าหาพระราม ด้วยการตัดจมูกทิ้ง

• ขุนแผน - เอาผู้หญิงไปทั่ว แถมยังปล้ำผู้หญิงทั้งผ้าเหลือง
• ขุนช้าง - เจ้าเล่ห์ หักหลังเพื่อน (ขุนแผนเป็นเพื่อนรึเปล่า) -- แก้ไขลบมักมากในกามออก ตามม่อน
  
• พระอภัยฯ - มีชู้ (นางเงือก) แล้วฆ่าเมียตัวเอง (นางผีเสื้อ)
  

แค่อยากจะบอกว่า ถ้าไม่รู้ให้ถามได้ แต่อย่าออกมาแสดงความเห็นที่แสดงความโง่มากถึงขนาดนี้ ถ้าไม่พูดคงไม่มีใครว่าโง่หรอกครับ หรือว่าอยากดังทางลัด เลยต้องออกมาพูดแบบนี้ เดี๋ยวคนจะจำชื่อไม่ได้ หรือว่ารับเรื่องการตัดสินด้วยความยุติธรรมไม่ได้ มันแทงใจ กลัวโดนเครื่องประหารหัวสุนัข...

Back online

Now I successfully switch to ADSL2+ and am back online again. The new one is spectacularly fast so that I may reach data limit (15 GB) so soon. However, it's still slow browsing Thai pages that their servers are in Thailand. I don't know why; may be because of the bottle neck of Thai gateway (port 80) or problem with the ISP proxy itself. Nevertheless, other kinds of data transfer, such as multimedia streaming, are great. I can watch most of Thai free TV via KU website smoothly, except MCOT; it's crappy slow -_-'.

In conclusion, switching to ADSL2+ is very great and cost effective at around 1,500฿/mo (it costs AU$49.95 and includes 500 min free calls from VoIP to capital cities in Aus and a great rate for international call). I wish I will have this in Thailand when I go back.

Switching to ADSL2+

I'm in the process of switching to ADSL2+. The upsides are that it's lightning fast at 24 Mbps using the old telephone line and it includes 500 minutes call from the VoIP account. The downside is that I have to disconnect and remove the conventional ADSL (at 512kbps) of previous ISP from the line first. Then the new ISP will install the system to the line, which will take around 5 - 8 working days. That means I can't go online unless using the dial-up in that period. I have to live offline for a while.

Nowadays, life without internet would not be easy. Because almost everything has been moved to the internet, including shops, services, banking transaction and many more. Many times, I have to pay bills using internet banking, buy some stuffs as well as do a research on the internet. I used to live with always-on internet and find many things on it but now I can't do as before. Moreover, I use email as my main communication. To be offline means I will be out of touch from others, including jobs, friends and family. Okay, I still have a telephone and a phone card, however, it's not that convenient.

In contrary, life without internet may provide me more time to do things other than usual, for examples, reading books, preparing myself for the coming exam or even exercise. With internet, I would stick to the monitor, surfing the web and do nothing. Hopefully, this will be a chance to alter my lifestyle.
